The CASA
Award
The
CASA Award provides financial support and mentorship for a mid-career woman
playwright living and working in South Africa.
While playwrights everywhere struggle and juggle their chosen careers,
women playwrights in countries such as India, Afghanistan, and South Africa have
obstacles much bigger than ours in Canada. In many countries, theatre is
a vital tool to advocate for change, and it is important that women’s voices
are heard.
We're very excited about our fundraising event and are looking forward to seeing our Gailey Road friends and patrons there.
