Fall 2014 at Gailey Road

Hello Everyone:

I hope your fall has been productive and fun.  This fall Margot Huycke, Amanda Greer, Emma Smith and I set up a booth at Word on the Street at Queen's Park to promote Gailey Road's Season 4 of Women Writing Letters and sell our books from Season 1 and 2.  Although the day began in the pouring rain, by the time the festival actually opened up the sun was shining and we had a great time talking to folks who stopped by our booth and catching up with our letter writers who came by to sign the books we were selling.

On October 19, 2014, the fourth season of Women Writing Letters began with "A Letter to the Road I Didn't Take" which brought together four very different letter writers who shared intimate stories of the road not taken.  It was one of the most moving Women Writing Letters yet.

Looking forward to the new year, Season Four of Women Writing Letters will continue on January 18, 2015 with "A Letter to My Grandmother", and in February, a reading of my new play Sylvie and Castor about a moment in the lives of feminist Simone de Beauvoir and her companion Sylvie Le Bon will be staged as part of the Festival of Original Theatre (FOOT) at the University of Toronto.  The Festival's theme this year is Queer(ing) Performance.

Have a wonderful holiday season.  We hope to see you at one of our events in the new year!

All the best,
Tara
