I hope this note finds you well! It's been an exciting spring at Gailey Road and there are more activities and events ahead of us this spring and summer. Here are the events and projects we've been working on since our last blog last December.
January 2013
Performed Ethnography and Research-Informed Theatre
From January to April 2013, I offered a new graduate research methodology course called Performed Ethnography and Research-Informed Theatre at the Ontario Institute of Studies in Education, University of Toronto. Twenty graduate students participated in course and the group included students from all the departments at OISE as well as students from the Centre for Drama, Theatre and Performance Studies. Our discussions focused on questions of research, aesthetic, and pedagogical design of research-informed theatre projects.
Women Writing Letters:A Letter to My 12-Year Self
The second Women Writing Letters event of the season took place on January 20, 2013 and featured:

Workshop hosted by EmcArts and the Metcalf Foundation
In February, Pam Snell, Austen Koecher and I attended a workshop hosted by EmcArts and the Metcalf Foundation on innovation and new practices for a new era in the arts. Our work in the workshop has begun to inform our planning for the rest of the year.

Harriet's House @ The Centre for Imaginative Ethnography Conference
At the Centre for Imaginative Ethnography Conference hosted by York University, Pam Snell and I presented an overview of Gailey Road’s work on the Harriet’s House/Ana’s Shadow project and showed a scene from the digital recording of Harriet's House.
Women Writing Letters: A Letter to My First Boss
The third Women Writing Letters event of the season took place on January 21, 2013 and featured:

Later this week, Pam Snell and I will have an hour to talk about the Harriet's House/Ana's Shadow project and show scenes from the digital recording at the Angels in Performance Conference hosted by The University of Missouri. The conference runs from April 25-28, 2013.
May 2013
The Draft Reading Series
In May, Margot Huycke, Audrey Lowitz and I will be reading scenes from Harriet’s House @ The Draft Reading Series.

Harriet's House in Colombia
Finally, in August, Margot Huycke and I will travel to Colombia for a staged reading of Harriet’s House in Spanish in Bogotá directed by Jorge Arcila.
